This fan art project is inspired by Antisocialites, Alvvays’ sophomore album.

Their debut album felt like stumbling upon a lost romantic comic from another era, and Antisocialites carries a very similar spirit. To me, both albums are cut from the same fabric — nostalgic and dreamy — but Antisocialites feels like a mature continuation, an updated chapter of the same world.

For this project, much like the first one, I wanted to create visuals that emulate the aesthetic of a bygone era, capturing the sense of nostalgia in Alvvays’ music — this time drawing from the more recent world of arcade games, with my own bubbly and colorful spin on it.
